CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP
ASSOCIATE MEMBER (Phase 1)
Submit a pedigree chart showing lineage back to a slave ancestor and annual membership dues of $15.00, along with a completed application form.
CERTIFIED MEMBER (Phase 2)
Check the box on the bottom of the application form to indicate that you wish to request the long application form. On the long form, you will provide documentation of each generation of your direct line back to a slave ancestor. Include a $5.00 application fee and a pedigree chart.
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBER
This includes Libraries, Societies and Educational Institutions. Institutional members pay annual dues of $15.00. This package includes the ISDSA Newsletter.

Q. When and where did slavery exist?
A. Slavery, and allied forms of servitude which sought to make human beings into property, has existed since prehistoric times and flourished throughout most of the world - Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Americas.
Q. How long may I remain an Associate ISDSA Member?
A. You have five years from the date of your application to complete the documentation process and apply to become a Certified Member.
Q. May other family members having the same slave ancestry, submit applications?
A. Absolutely. Each family member should submit the application forms, documentation, and annual dues.
